Airlines have canceled 770 flights into and out of the New York area, FlightAware.com said.Among the airlines issuing waivers — which allow for fee-free changes or refunds for impacted flights — were American, Delta [DAL 9.752    -0.288  (-2.87%)   ], United and US Airways [LCC  12.23    -0.44  (-3.47%)   ]. United’s parent is United Continental Holdings [UAL 20.35    -0.12  (-0.59%)   ].

Travel Waivers by Carrier

American Airlines

Travel dates: November 7 to November 8.

Original ticket must have been purchased by: November 6.

Policy: Passengers may change flights without penalty, have the ticket-reissue charge waived for one ticket change and begin rescheduled travel as late as November 15.

Delta Air Lines

Travel dates: November 6 to November 8.

Original ticket must have been purchased by: November 6.

Policy: If your flight is canceled or significantly delayed, you are entitled to a refund. Even if your flight is not canceled, you may make a one-time change to your ticket without fee. Rescheduled travel must begin by November 16.

United Airlines

Travel dates: November 6 to November 8.

Original ticket must have been purchased by: November 6.

Policy: When rescheduled travel begins by November 15, change fees and fare differences will be waived. Full refunds are allowed for canceled flights.

US Airways

Travel dates: November 7 to November 8.

Original ticket must have been purchased by: November 7.

Policy: If your flight is impacted, the change fee will be waived, but a difference in airfare may apply. Rescheduled travel must begin by November 15.
